Day by Day

Day 1: Arrival In Arusha

You will be picked up from the airport by a Safari Peak representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come.

In the morning you will be collected from your lodgings in Arusha by our personal safari guide. We set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. As we zip along we pass many Maasai in their colorful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey’s carts. Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds, is also host to a multitude of other creatures. From the open roof of our state of the art safari jeep we experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and life-giving Tarangire River, endeavoring to encounter a multitude of creatures, from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. It is possible we will glimpse lion stalking prey or leopards watching, relaxing in the trees above.
you will drive to one of our carefully selected partner lodges for dinner in a tasteful restaurant, a pool at hand to soothe us, and a most capacious.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous game reserves in the world. On the way, you’ll enjoy the scenic beauty of the Ngorongoro Highlands and pass through small villages. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, known for its vast plains and incredible wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a variety of antelope. Stay overnight at a lodge or camp within the park, where you can reflect on the day’s experiences.

Today, enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti, focusing on different areas of the park, depending on the season. This is an excellent opportunity to witness the Great Migration or to observe predators in action. Your guide will share insights about the park’s unique ecosystem, and you’ll have the chance to photograph wildlife in the stunning landscapes. The day ends with a sunset game drive and an overnight stay at your camp or lodge

Start with the first rays of the sun at 06:30, decent 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a wonderful game drives. Supported by water from the highlands and enough fodder, this area is rich in wildlife which include herds of wildebeest, Giant African elephants, eland, zebra, warthog, buffalo and the rare black rhino. The so called big 5 which includes lion leopard, buffalo, black rhino & the African elephant can be spotted in this area in the course of one day of game drive. (Packed lunch will be served at the crater floor). Another big surprise in this picturesque crater is the denser population of predators which includes lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal and the ever mysterious leopard which require trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi a shallow alkaline lake which is among the water sources in the crater, some flamingos, hippos & other aquatic birds can be seen in this Lake. Game drives until afternoon, then start your way out & drive back to Lodge.

On this day after breakfast your guide will take you to Mto wa Mbu town to have some activities , You will experience Cultural tour of Mto wa Mbu Village tour – try banana beer , visit a traditional home , learning Makonde caving and finally have you will enjoy a home cooked meal the traditional way . You’ll then be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home, marking the end of an unforgettable cultural and wildlife adventure in Tanzania.
