Day 1: Arrival in JRO

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Safari Peak representative. You will then be transferred to your comfortable accommodation in Arusha, where you can unwind after your journey. This first day allows you to relax, settle in, and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the town, enjoy local cuisine, or simply rest and recharge for the upcoming safari experience. Overnight in Arusha ensures you start your Tanzania adventure refreshed and ready for the wildlife and landscapes that await.

After breakfast, your private guide will pick you up with your safari vehicle and drive you to the spectacular Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for an exhilarating afternoon game drive. Framed by the dramatic cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, this park is famous for its shimmering alkaline soda lake, home to flocks of vibrant pink flamingos, elegant yellow-billed storks, and graceful herons. Adventure-seekers will be thrilled by the chance to spot Lake Manyara’s iconic tree-climbing lions, a sight unique to this park. Keep an eye out for the playful baboons—the largest population in the world—whose antics never fail to entertain. This afternoon promises unforgettable wildlife encounters and stunning scenery that will leave you eager for the next day of your safari journey.

After breakfast, a scenic drive will be undertaken through Karatu’s lush farmlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where a stop will be made at the crater viewpoint for breathtaking photographs. The journey will then continue toward Serengeti National Park, with its iconic rolling plains, and a visit to a Maasai village will be included en route, where Maasai culture will be experienced through storytelling, interactive Q&A, and traditional songs and dances. Afterwards, an en-route game drive will be enjoyed as you proceed to Naabi Hills Gate for park check-in before heading toward the wildlife-rich Seronera area, sustained by the Seronera River, which attracts an abundance of animals year-round. A picnic lunch will be served at a kopje (rocky outcrop), followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the Wildebeest Migration. By sunset, arrival at your lodge will be arranged for dinner and evening relaxation.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Northern Serengeti, a region renowned for its vast open plains and incredible wildlife density. With your private guide and safari vehicle, you will embark on a full-day game drive, searching for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—alongside cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. The Northern Serengeti is also famous for its breathtaking landscapes, dotted with kopjes and acacia trees, offering excellent photography opportunities. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness, and continue your afternoon game drive as the light changes and wildlife activity peaks. As the day concludes, you will be transferred to your lodge or camp for overnight, reflecting on a day filled with unforgettable encounters and dramatic scenery.

Start with the first rays of the sun at 08:00, decent 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a wonderful game drives. Supported by water from the highlands and enough fodder, this area is rich in wildlife which include herds of wildebeest, Giant African elephants, eland, zebra, warthog, buffalo and the rare black rhino. The so called big 5 which includes lion leopard, buffalo, black rhino & the African elephant can be spotted in this area in the course of one day of game drive. (Packed lunch will be served at the crater floor). Another big surprise in this picturesque crater is the denser population of predators which includes lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal and the ever mysterious leopard which require trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi a shallow alkaline lake which is among the water sources in the crater, some flamingos, hippos & other aquatic birds can be seen in this Lake. Game drives until afternoon, then start your way out & drive back to Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a final game drive in Tarangire National Park, renowned for its towering baobab trees, vast savannahs, and one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. As you explore, you may also spot lions, leopards, buffalo, and a dazzling variety of birdlife, making this the perfect farewell to your Tanzania adventure.

Later, you will begin your journey back toward Arusha, with time for a relaxing lunch before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Here, your unforgettable safari comes to an end.
