You will experience all the excitement of an African Wildlife Safari in the most spectacular of landscapes. On this Safari we take in Tarangire National Park, renowned for its elephant families and iconic Baobab trees. Roaming onwards we experience the jewel that is Ngorongoro Crater, breathtakingly beautiful, and the best place in Tanzania to see the big five.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Begin your safari with a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive. The park’s diverse ecosystems ensure sightings of elephants, baboons, and giraffes. Overnight at a family-friendly lodge near the park.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to your final destination on this epic safari – Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs.

Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a chance to see rhinos, lions, and large flocks of flamingos along the crater lake. Overnight at a comfortable lodge overlooking the crater.

Day 4: Ngorongoro to Arusha

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before returning to Arusha. If time permits, stop at a cultural center to learn about local traditions. Transfer to your hotel or airport, concluding your memorable family safari adventure.
