Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Safari Peak representative and transferred to your accommodation at the Traditional Maasai Honeymoon Suite, Africa Amini Life, where you will relax and prepare for the adventures ahead. During this day, a Maasai guide will meet with you to describe various activities such as nature walking, donkey riding, sunset Maasai dancing, and arrow throwing. After the descriptions have been provided, you will be invited to choose the activity that interests you most, and it will be arranged according to your arrival time and the duration of your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
On the second day, after the chosen activities have been enjoyed, time will be spent at the lodge until later in the afternoon, when lunch will be served. Afterwards, you will be driven back to Karatu in preparation for the next adventures, where visits to other parks will be arranged and unlimited mileage game drives will be provided for a truly immersive safari experience.
After breakfast at your lodge, a short safari briefing will be provided by your driver guide before departure to Tarangire National Park. The journey will be taken along the Maasai steppe and through many villages until the Tarangire gate is reached. Known as the fifth largest national park in Tanzania, Tarangire lies at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley and is traversed by the Tarangire River, which flows north to south and, together with the southern swamp, serves as a permanent water source that becomes a refuge for countless animals during the dry season. A major highlight is the park’s large elephant population, along with sightings of the rare Great Kudu, Fringed-Eared Oryx, and Ash Stalling. In addition, herds of buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, hippos, giraffes, and numerous baboons and monkeys may also be spotted, while predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas are commonly found within the park. Furthermore, for bird watchers, Tarangire is regarded as a true paradise where over 400 bird species have been recorded, including ostrich, herons, secretary birds, and various migratory species. In the late afternoon, you will be driven to Marera Valley Lodge via the Great East African Rift Valley to enjoy a breathtaking sunset before dinner and an overnight stay are provided.
After breakfast, a scenic drive will be undertaken through Karatu’s lush farmlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where a stop will be made at the crater viewpoint for breathtaking photographs. The journey will then continue toward Serengeti National Park, with its iconic rolling plains, and a visit to a Maasai village will be included en route, where Maasai culture will be experienced through storytelling, interactive Q&A, and traditional songs and dances. Afterwards, an en-route game drive will be enjoyed as you proceed to Naabi Hills Gate for park check-in before heading toward the wildlife-rich Seronera area, sustained by the Seronera River, which attracts an abundance of animals year-round. A picnic lunch will be served at a kopje (rocky outcrop), followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the Wildebeest Migration. By sunset, arrival at your lodge will be arranged for dinner and evening relaxation.
On this day of your 11 Day Romantic Bush & Beach Adventure Honeymoon, a full-day game drive in the Serengeti will be embarked upon, beginning early at 07:30 with a packed breakfast and lunch box provided. The early morning drive allows the cat family to be observed as they move cautiously through the mist, while nocturnal animals returning from their night of hunting may also be spotted. Lionesses may be seen organizing an ambush or feeding along the road. A break for breakfast in the bush will be taken before proceeding to the area where the Wildebeest Migration is concentrated. Much time will be spent watching the impressive herds, as well as the big cats and other wildlife, while a packed lunch will be enjoyed either in the bush or at one of the designated picnic sites. Throughout the day, thrilling animal interactions such as hunting, fighting, and feeding can be witnessed.
